Text description provided by the architects. Among the qualities that would bring together the work of architecture, useful, aesthetics and well built, perhaps the utility, the condition to adapt to the social and institutional demands that give origin is today because of its costs the most serious of its obligations. Also in this project to extend and reform, enlargement over reform, the answer seems essential to the use requested, which is why we think that issues like excessive respect for the parcel or overvalued taking place in the environment, could force excess growth, organization and functioning of the New Town Hall. We would like the new building to accommodate without efforts irregular funds added to the Old Town Hall.
A building that is intended clean, flexible, clear in their circulations, with care spaces and comfortable, well-lit, and can naturally lean to the side streets. The structure of this building would be made of steel, columns, beams and slabs of sheet steel, alternating with concrete screens around the perimeter. Floating floors allowing passage and connection facilities, wood partitions, glass and polycarbonate, false ceilings and wooden panels also suspended slabs.
Covers impassable and the precast panels facades and finishes next to traditional plaster and plaster finishes in the environment. As for the building to conserve propose consolidating its structure while restoring facades, roofs and stairs. In its various floors the most representative units Area Presidency, including the Mayor and the Reception Hall.
